Since the days of Steamboat Willie Disney has been delighting young and old alike. One of their newest movies, Moana, has continued this trend, and the Sykesville Cinema Summer Series will be showing it.
A Movie Under the Stars!
The Sykesville Parks and Recreation team will be projecting the movie onto a 12-foot inflatable screen. They’ll be putting the movie on 15 minutes after sundown so you can enjoy a great family-friendly movie under the starry night. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
Grab Some Snacks
The Millard Cooper Park Snack Shack will be open all night serving up freshly popped popcorn, hot dogs, candy, soda, water, and even some glow sticks (not to eat!).
This is a free event, though the Sykesville Parks and Recreation team is asking for donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the Carroll County Food Sunday, a local nonprofit food bank that gives food to 400 families a week. There will be marked plastic bins at the entry to the park that you can put the food in. You can find a list of needed items on the Carroll County Food Sunday’s website.
