With warmer weather right around the corner, you might be pondering over what to do and where to go. When you’re making your plans for the warm days, don’t forget to include your dog! We’ve found a few great spots around Eldersburg to take your puppy out to.

The Trails

Piney Run Trail

You might be familiar with Piney Run Trail if you read about all the places to hike around Eldersburg, but it’s not just a trail to hike; it’s a trail to hike with man’s best friend. It’s one of the easier hiking trails in the area, so your pup won’t get too hot or exert so much energy that he’d rather lay down on the way back than make it to the car.

Krimgold Park

This beautiful park houses different trails and ponds, and is a great place to let your dog run. Dogs and people alike gather here on good days and relax, and you should too! The park is obviously dog friendly, and they even provide baggies for your dog’s… business, so be sure to use them.

Freedom Park

Freedom Park is a short, dog friendly loop that you and your pup can hike. It’s almost 2 miles long, but an easy hike and good exercise for the both of you seeing as how it’s a paved trail. Keep in mind that dogs on this trail must be kept on a leash!

BARC Park at Hannah More Park

Let your dog free at the BARC Park in Reisterstown. There may be a small fee, but after you pay the fee, you’re free to go there whenever, year round. There are separate areas for smaller and larger dogs, so your pup can feel safe being with dogs his size. This park was rated 5/5 Bones on BringFido, so it’s worth the visit.

The Restaurants

Kismet Cafe

Kismet Cafe has five outdoor tables, so you can bring your dog there for lunch, breakfast, or brunch. There’s no guarantee one of them will be open for you and your dog, but don’t worry: there’s more options!

The County Cork Wine Pub

County Cork Wine Pub does something special for the dogs that visit: they give them bacon! However, there are only four outdoor tables, so if you want to bring your dog to the Wine Pub, call ahead and make a reservation!

Glory Days Grill

There are eight outdoor tables for you and your dog to enjoy dinner together at Glory Days. Those tables might also get busy, so be sure to reserve one ahead of time!

When you’re out on you adventures with Fido, be sure to bring plenty of water, treats, and business baggies!
