When the firefighters came, the chief of the fire company observed a heavy fire coming through the roof of the restaurant. After the fire was out, the building was declared a total loss. That loss is estimated at $150,000 to the structure and $350,000 to the contents, according to a notice of investigation from the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Roads were closed by the scene to make sure no one else was hurt and to prevent drivers from hindering the firefighter’s effort to take out the flames.
The first call about the fire came at 7:48 p.m. and units came from Winfield, Skyesville, Gamber, Mount Airy, and West Frenship of Howard County. The fire was under control within approximately 40 minutes.
Investigators believe that the fire originated in the roof and are currently working on figuring out the cause. To help support Bolen’s Bull Pen, donate to their GoFundMe campaign. If you have any information about the fire, please contact the Northeast Regional Office of the OSFM at (410) 836-4844.
