The Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and the Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) will host a joint meeting on June 11th at 5:00 pm in Room 003 of the County Office Building. During this meeting, the Boards will discuss the remanded Freedom Plan and the changes made by the PZC to comply with the commissioners’ requests.

The updated plan was released to the public on May 9th, beginning the 60-day comment period. The 60-day public comment period will conclude with a Public Hearing scheduled on July 11, 2018 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at the Liberty High School Auditorium.

The plan is posted on the website along with an interactive Future Land Use map and a list of properties with a land use change from the 2001 Freedom Plan.
Citizens are invited to attend the Public Hearing to comment on the plan. They may also comment by:
1) Sending written correspondence to Carroll County Department of Planning, 225 N. Center
Street, Westminster, MD 21157.
2) Completing the Carroll County Government Comment/Question Form available on the website
3) Emailing the Planning and Zoning Commission at plancomm(Sorry, please remove this text and add the normal symbol.)
All comments must be received by the close of the public hearing on July 11, 2018.
