Josh Kelly, a senior at Liberty High School, recently had an article published entitled Investigating Airblast Features on the Venusian Surface Using Magellan and Arecibo Radar Data, based on research he conducted through the ASPIRE internship program at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. The research was done in collaboration with Kelly’s mentor, Dr. Noam Izenberg from JHUAPL, and Dr. Bruce Campbell from the Smithsonian Institution.

Kelly had the honor of presenting his findings at the 49th Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, which was held in Texas from March 19-23, 2018. The conference brought together international specialists in petrology, geochemistry, geophysics, geology, and astronomy to present the latest results of research in planetary science.
