Martz Road Water Tank Off-line April 17th Through April 24th
On Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at approximately 9 am, the Bureau of Utilities will take the Martz Road water tank off-line for one week. The tank will return to use on Tuesday, April 24th. The purpose of the week-long shutdown is to prepare for a full shutdown which will take place early to mid-summer 2018.
In early to mid-summer, the tank will be off-line for approximately two months to perform a planned tank rehabilitation project which includes maintenance, repairs and painting. The April shutdown will test the effects on water pressure while the tank is off-line. Residents should
not be without water at any time but may experience a slight decrease in pressure throughout the test period.
Only residents west of Rt. 32, including areas as far north as Irving Ruby Road and as far south as Johnsville Road, may be affected. If residents experience more than a slight drop in pressure, they are urged to contact the Bureau of Utilities at 410-386-2164 Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm
